Regional Youth Night - Dot Art

On Tuesday, July 21, the Huron-Superior Regional Métis Community's Cultural Events Coordinator hosted a Regional Youth Night at the Sault Ste. Marie Heritage Centre. Métis youth and their guests between the ages of 16 and 29 were invited to come together for an evening of creativity, learning, and connection.

Participants spent the evening creating their own dot art canvases while learning about Métis dot art. The activity provided an opportunity for youth to explore their creativity while connecting with Métis culture and expressing themselves through art. Each canvas was unique, showcasing the individual styles and artistic talents of those who attended.

Beyond the art activity, the evening also gave youth the chance to meet and connect with other youth throughout the region. Events like these help strengthen community connections while encouraging Métis youth to engage with their culture in meaningful and enjoyable ways.
