Citizens of the Historic Sault Ste. Marie Métis Council gathered at the Powley Institute on Saturday, June 20, to celebrate Father's Day with an afternoon of food, creativity, and community. Families enjoyed spending quality time together while sharing a delicious lunch catered by The Soup Witch, along with a variety of desserts and refreshments.
Following lunch, guests took part in a fun birdhouse painting activity, choosing from a selection of wooden birdhouses to decorate with their own unique designs. Participants created thoughtful handmade gifts for Father's Day or colourful additions to their own gardens and outdoor spaces. The activity provided a wonderful opportunity for families to express their creativity, connect with one another, and make lasting memories.
The Historic Sault Ste. Marie Métis Council would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make this Father's Day celebration such an enjoyable event. We look forward to bringing citizens together for more opportunities to celebrate, create, and strengthen our community throughout the year.
