The North Channel Métis Council brought the spirit of the season to life on Saturday, December 7, 2025, by providing Christmas gift cards to Métis citizens in the community. As cost of living continues to rise, the NCMC are always looking at how they can support families.

The event offered more than holiday support—it was a chance to gather, visit, and celebrate together as community members spent time reconnecting and sharing in the warmth of the season. Laughter and conversation filled the space as citizens stopped by, reflecting the strong sense of kinship that continues to define Métis communities.

Adding a special touch to the afternoon, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus made a surprise visit, delighting attendees and helping to make the occasion especially memorable for families and children.
The North Channel Métis Council extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to take part and helped make the day a success. The Councils is wishes all citizens a very Happy New Year in 2026!
